Who is in your reader?

reader

You can probably mark this as read but… I have to admit… I have a bit of spring fever. The weather in South Carolina has been absolutely beautiful. Work has been hectic and I haven’t been reading my Google Reader like I am supposed to do. I try to schedule time to read the blogs I subscribe … especially after attending Chris O’Neal’s session at FETC. He said it was ok, so its ok for me to do it at work… so I have tried but haven’t succeeded. The time I schedule ends up constituting an emergency on my part for someone else’s poor planning. (Hey, wait that is not the way that saying is supposed to go…)

So I would like to apologize for those of you in my reader that I have not been keeping up with… Dean Shareski, SEGA Tech, Wesley Fryer, Vicki Davis, Chris Lehmann, Chris Craft, Cathy Nelson, and many more (just look to the left). I miss you all and will get back to you soon.

In my own little strange world, I think of the only blogs out there to read are educational blogs. Of course I know there are blogs on every subject but my mind the only ones out there for me to read were those in which would help me with my job. With the weather being so wonderful and me trying to turn my brain off… I have started a new section in my Google Reader… I now have an obsession with Stamping blogs… yes, to add to my dorkiness… I love to make cards using my many Stampin’ up sets. It is a guilty pleasure for me. The stamping blogs are great because they give me great ideas to take my mind off of work.

Do you have any interesting blogs in your reader?

End of the year testing starts next week, so the schools I work with will not want me around over the next two weeks. I have a stack of articles I need read and by then even more blogs to catch up with. I guess I will be one of the only people on earth who is thankful for the testing season. ;)

So funny. I have those same kind of “emergencies.” Actually this past weekend I left the computer OFF almost all weekend, and used my free time to cozy up to my husband. I swear it was like we were dating again, we had that much fun. I am planning some more weekends like that. I marked 700+ posts in my reader Sunday as read. I figure if they were that great to blog about, I’ll see it again in someone else’s post. : )

I can’t believe how much my list of blogs are growing on my google reader. I love that I can see which ones have been updated though and I don’t have to waste time going to those that hadn’t been updated. I also love that I don’t miss the ones I like this way. Now that we have been traveling and the internet connection is spotty, my unreads kind of intimidate me so I’m glad when I can get them all read. I don’t know if that means I’m addicted or not. When we get home I know that a huge amount of gardening will be waiting for me, plus the course that I’m teaching so I’m thinking of setting a certain amount of time for me to read my blogs. I guess I’m too anal about all of this. Oh well…

Since testing is over for me (I am the school testing coordinator along with curriculum for my school in Greenwood.)I am now getting around to catching up on my tech blog reading. I found you via reading Cathy Nelson’s blog. Beside tech blogs I love reading crafting blogs, cooking blogs, etc. Have met some of the nicest people. Hope to meet you in Greenville at the end of the month.
PS I grew up in Columbia…attended Richland 2 schools.
