WHY???? Why does technology fail when its needed the most??!!
Call it Murphy’s Law call it whatever you want. Why is it when you are busy and backed up against deadlines technology dies? I know I am the only person this EVER happens to.
Over the last week I have been so busy I that I have felt like I was in the middle of a storm and not too sure which way is up. I realized last night I have a professional development on one sites educators can use in the classroom that aren’t “educational sites.” One of the sites I am using is ToonDoo. Well I had 45 minutes this afternoon to create a handout. I went to ToonDoo and the main page came up but when I clicked on “Create Your Own” the page just spinned… nothing happened. So instead of getting upset I saved the document I was working on and decided I would finish it at home… Thinking… it has to be the district causing the issue.
So I am home late… beginning to work… now the whole ToonDoo site is down. I can’t even get it to come up. So obviously it’s not the district with the issue. I know you are saying to yourself. What’s the big deal its one site… well, I am anal and its bad enough I was going to have to run copies at 7:30 in the morning because I didn’t get to this sooner but now I may not have a handout. Next you say, SO what put it on a wiki… remember the world I live in… teachers (where I live) still need paper.
Nothing wrong with that but paper makes them feel safe.
Maybe by some freak of nature or a great tech guy when I done writing this I will be able to get on the site and finish my work.
